Monster Tajima driving his Suzuki, broke the record bringing his time for the race to only 9 mins 51 seconds, he is the first person to better 10 mins.
Rhys Millen drove well in his Hyundai powered special, got up Pikes Peak in 10:09.24 but could not match Monster Tajima on the day.
